Susan K. (Mooney) Regentz-Montgomery

Susan K. (Mooney) Regentz-Mongomery, age 62, of Ionia, passed away, Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She was born January 12, 1956 in Ionia, the daughter of Jack and Antoinette (Falsetta) Montgomery, Sr. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Sue made sure that everyone around her was always taken care of and helped out whenever she could. She was devoted to praying for others in their time of need. Sue loved to cook, make hook rugs, and watch game shows with her mother. She also enjoyed traveling and going to the casino with her mom. Sue treasured taking care of her children and nieces and nephews, often times spoiling them, but most of all she loved and cherished her grandchildren. She made friends wherever she went, especially while working at Renucci’s Bar & Restaurant for 19 years, Westside Lounge for 12 years, and Joe’s Bar in Saranac for several years.

Preceding Sue in death is her father, Jack Montgomery, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Antoinette “Toni” Montgomery of Ionia; son, Larry Mooney of Lake Odessa; daughter, Kristina Mooney of Ionia; grandchildren, Tyler and Emma Mooney, Malik Thomas, and Keiarra Martinez-Hernandez; siblings, Jack (Sue) Montgomery, Jr. of North Carolina, Cindy (Dave) Moon of Munising, Julieann (Louis) Reeder of Ionia, and Paul (Sandy) Montgomery of South Carolina; and many special, favorite nieces and nephews.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Brown at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at S.s. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia.
