June Louise Janus, Portland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on March 20, 2024 at the age of 73. She was born on July 19, 1950, in Battle Creek, MI.
She spent her free time writing poetry, crocheting, painting, and traveling.
She was an amazing poet especially proud of her poem “The Wall” and all of her hard work and dedication to the WWll Veterans.
Just loved spending time with her “81” grandchildren.
June is survived by her husband David Lalone, her sister, Jeannie (Clinton), her brother, Dan (Sharon) and her daughters, Aundrea, Dolene, Sherolyn, Olivia, Shauna, Rusanna, and Shanna.
Grandchildren Norman, Chelsea, Terry, Devon, Kayla, Tosha, Davesha, Shaine, Anthony (Gabby), Dezerree (Curtis), Roszlynn, Chevelle, Seth, Tereese (Miah), Qindairyes, Ashley, James, Jordan, Byron, Jasiah, Saria, Harleyia, Kamarion, Danayah, Camron, Luis and a host of GreatGrand Children.
June is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Laura (Smith) Janus and her inherited daughter, Naomi Becerra.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland, MI. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
