Barb was a  free spirit, living her life and leaving this life the same way.  She loved to say, “My Life, My Body, My Rules”.

Barb served as a WAC  from 1962-1964; spent 20 years working at Olds in Lansing, worked as a security guard at the dog track in Sarasota, FL and finished her working years as a Massage Therapist working out of her home.  She drew clients from far and wide and always loved that she gave massages to Women’s LPGA participants when they were in the area.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Ruth Becker; sister-in-law, Jean West; and nephew, Kevin Becker.

She is survived by three brothers, John West, George (Donna) Becker, and Tom (Anna) Becker; special nieces and nephews, who were with her until the end, including, Lori Dine, Doug and Jen Becker, Liz West, Sydney West, and Tori Blundy.  Also surviving are special friends, Marilyn Shinaver and Kim Snyder, many nieces and nephews whom she thought the world of, and so many friends whom she loved.

There will be a military Salute at Portland Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 with an informal celebration of life at Barb’s home, 333 Albro Street, Portland, MI 48875. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
