Bernadine Elizabeth (Ostrander) Pullum

Bernadine E. Pullum, age 79, of Ionia, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. She was born on September 4, 1940, the daughter of Salem and Llewella (Hatinger) Ostrander. Bernadine graduated from Ionia High School in 1959 and she attended First Christian Church in Ionia. She married Richard B. Pullum on May 6, 1961 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Bernadine loved to play cards, bingo, and baking. She adored her granddaughter, Sara. Bernadine was also preceded in death by her son, Jim Pullum. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Teri Pullum of Ionia; granddaughter, Sara Lynn Pullum; brother-in-law, Bruce Pullum of Ionia; sisters-in-law, Sharon Hankins of Alabama and June (Wally) Barrett of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Ionia Moose Lodge, 869 E. Lincoln Ave. Ionia, MI 48846. Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Bernadine. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
