Caroline R. Piggott

Caroline Regina Piggott, age 91, of Westphalia, passed away, Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was born December 3, 1926, the daughter of Julius M. and Mary A. (Platte) Pohl. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Caroline was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Caroline is survived by her children, Duane (Lori) Piggott, Alan (Patty) Piggott, Roy (Arlene) Piggott, Philip Piggott, Ginny (Duane) Weber, Judith Piggott, and Stanley Piggott; 24 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Preceding Caroline in death are her parents; husband of 66 years, Gerald Piggott; daughter, Mary Ann Sherman; infant son, Kenneth Piggott; infant sister, Rosemary Pohl; and brothers, Harold and Melvin Pohl.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street, Westphalia. The rosaries will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
