Clark Nichols Obituary

Clark Spencer Nichols passed away peacefully at his home on June 26, 2019. He was surrounded by family, friends, and his dog, Mallie. Clark was born December 13, 1945 to Lauren and Lamora Nichols in Tecumseh, MI. Clark was preceded in death by father, Lauren; mother, Lamora; and siblings, Sheldon and Loah.

Clark graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1964 and Michigan State University in 1968 and soon after became an insurance agent, which he spent his entire career. He married Janet Bilby-Underwood in 1967 and became a step-father to Mike and Mandy Underwood and a father to Michelle and Marc. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Clark loved hunting and fishing and supporting his alma mater by being a member of the MSU Downtown Coaches Club. Due to Mallie being gun-shy, he loved to ride his golf cart around his property while she chased rabbits and he watched birds.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Ionia County Animal Shelter or ASPCA.
