Darlene Sharon Royce

Darlene Sharon Royce, age 84, of Grand Ledge, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Darlene was born in Remus, Michigan on March 24, 1938, the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Esch) Bidstrup. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Lehnert; babies, Christopher and JoAnn; her parents; brother, Marvin; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Lehnert. Surviving are her husband, Richard Royce; children: Craig (Lisa) Lehnert, Brad Lehnert and Steve (Nan) Lehnert; seven grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Darlene was a member of St. Michael Church in Grand Ledge, a Befriender minister and a parish volunteer. She enjoyed her family, reading, and traveling.

The Mass of Christian will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland.
