David Dorsey

David Lee Dorsey, of Sterling Heights, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 75.  He was born on September 13, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Frank and Beatrice (Woodworth) Dorsey of Sterling, IL.   Dave grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and received a business degree from Cleary University in Ypsilanti, MI.  He loved being a salesman selling everything from cards and gifts to Naturalizer shoes to finishing his career at Palace Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Lake Orion.   Dave was a very social person who enjoyed watching and talking about sports with his friends as well as going to the casino and traveling.  He always looked forward to going to the auto show with his son, Jeff along with cruising and looking at the old buildings and architecture of Detroit.

He is survived by his children, Kristen, Jeff, and David and by many special friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kim and sister, Lianne.

The family would like to thank David’s neighbors and friends for their care and kindness through the years.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Jamboozies Sports Bar and Grill, 42066 VanDyke Avenue, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48314 from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
