David Krohn Obituary

David Lee Krohn, age 72, of Ionia, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was born on March 8, 1946 in Harlan, Iowa the son of Harry and Fern (Clausen) Krohn. “I was born and raised on a farm, I had a good upbringing and tried to play well with others and enjoyed every day”, “tried to be a good citizen, made mistakes but learned well”. David was a proud member of the U.S. Army serving from May, 1966 until June, 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, race car driving and tinkering with cars or just about anything he could work on with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Edwina; children, Kimberly Rogers, Jennifer (Paul) Stauffer, Lesley (Jeff) Thorp, Jason (Lisa) Krohn and Wayne (Carmen) Belver; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth (Sherry) Krohn.

A private family Memorial Celebration and Military Burial will be held in Avoca, Iowa. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
