Age 66, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born December 21, 1951 in Ionia, the son of Frederick G. and Gladys (Burge) Lehman. He was a graduate of the Ionia High School Class of 1970 and earned his Master’s Degree from Western Michigan University.
 
Preceding David in death are his parents. He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Joseph) Palmer, Richard (Alina) Lehman, and Caroline Lehman; grandchildren, Emma and Charles Palmer and Evelyn Lehman; siblings, Christine (Christopher) Rauser, Donald (Bonnie) Lehman, and Margaret (Mark) Moore; mother of his children, Keverne Lehman; and many special friends in Ionia and Grand Rapids.
 
The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hauenstein Neurology Clinic, 220 Cherry St., Grand Rapids, MI 49503 in honor of David. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
