Dolores P. (Platte) Fedewa

Dolores P. Fedewa, age 92, of Westphalia, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was born March 28, 1926, the daughter of Ferdinand and Antoinette (Arens) Platte. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Christian Mother’s Society. Dolores enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and baking bread. She also loved sewing, singing, canning, and going to the casino.

Preceding Dolores in death are her beloved husband, Richard Fedewa in 2001; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Tilles; siblings, Marvin, Kenneth, Joan, and Betty. Dolores is survived by her cherished children, Rick (Cindy) Fedewa, Gary (Carol) Fedewa, Denise (Carl) Gamble, Kim (Kathy) Fedewa, Bruce (Sue) Fedewa, Dean (Lynn) Fedewa, and Marcia Fedewa; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene Platte, Bill (Connie) Platte, and Carol (Genny) Platte; sister-in-law, Mary Platte; and brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Lucille) Fedewa.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at the St. Mary Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia St., Westphalia. The rosary will be prayed at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to Breast Cancer Research in honor of Dolores.
