Elaine Mary Gibbs-McQuarrie

Elaine Mary Gibbs-McQuarrie, of Ionia, age 79, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. She was born January 25, 1939 in Lowell, the daughter of James and Anne (Gillespie) Green. Elaine owned and operated Gibbs Adult Care for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling and being with her family.

Preceding Elaine in death are her husband, Stuart McQuarrie; children, Robert and Rodney Starkweather; great-granddaughter, Vayda Anne Reidt; brother, James Green; and sister-in-law, Colleen Green. Surviving are her children, Richard (Paula) Starkweather and Anne (Kevin) Beuche-Dunn; grandchildren, Matthew Starkweather, Kimberly (Brian) Sampsel, Megan (Casey) Ayers, Alayna Bueche, Alexis Bueche, Noah Bueche, and Kevin Dunn; great-grandchildren, Hoover, Bradley, and Alexa, Silas and Dillinger; brothers, Terry Richards and Dale Green; and sister, Sharon (Dick) Treviso.

The Memorial Service will be conducted by Jeff Starkweather at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Lowell. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
