Elizabeth C. "Betty" Roach, passed away on November 13, 2018 after a wonderful life in the presence and loving arms of her family to join Bob, her husband for eternal rest. Betty was born on September 6, 1928 to Frank and Maggie Martin. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret (Detta) and Eve and brother, Adam. Betty met her husband, Bob Roach at a dance in their early 20’s. The two were wed on September 15, 1951. Bob and Betty then brought four wonderful children into the world: Gary, David (Jude), Tina (Eric), and Nicholas (Sara); grandchildren, Kristy (Dave), Jami (Nick), Staci (Matt), Ben, Erin, Austin, Nicholas, Randy; great-grandchildren, Halie, Tate, Burke, Maggie, Raeanna, Owen, Orah, Lauren, and Jackson, Harrison; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Fox all survive her. Betty and her family resided in Westphalia where their children were raised, a bar was owned, many friends made along the way with countless card games, bingo nights, beers shared and sporting events attended. Betty owned and worked at Martin's Tavern, along with years at Michigan Millers, and her most loved occupation bus driving for Pewamo-Westphalia School District. Bob and Betty spent retirement traveling, going to casinos, and enjoying time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty is best remembered for her love of everything including, Pewamo-Westphalia School and Michigan State University. She is known throughout the Pewamo-Westphalia communities and beyond for her smile, friendliness, and generosity.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Eric Weber on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the St. Mary Parish Hall on Friday from 2-8 p.m. The rosaries will be prayed on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the parish hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Pewamo-Westphalia School Athletics in honor of Betty. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
