Fredrick Allen Sheaffer

Fredrick Allen Sheaffer, age 66, of Orleans, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born September 25, 1952, the son of Frederick and Marie Sheaffer. He married his wife of 31 years, Deborah on September 12, 1987. Fred loved animals, mushroom hunting, riding motorcycles, and everything outdoors. In his younger years, he also loved driving his dune buggy with friends in Baldwin, Michigan. His most memorable times were spend with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Marie (Charles) Smith and Frederick (Eleanor) Sheaffer; in-laws, Melvin and Frances Helmes; sister, Cathy Sheaffer; step-brother, Charles (Bub) Smith; and sister-in-law, Lynn Bissell. Surviving are his wife, Deborah; daughter Heather (David) Zeoli; step-children, Sheri Compo, Rene Compo, Tony (Laura) Compo, Philip (Maria) Sinclair, and Sean (Crystal) Sinclair; 13 grandchildren, John McCanless, Jr., Jaimie McCanless, Jessica McCanless, Dylan Guernsey, Gauge Sinclair, Jakob Sinclair, Brody Sinclair, Portia Sinclair, Bailey Sinclair, Aiden Sinclair, Evin Sinclair, Layla Zeoli, and Juniper Compo; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Robert) Roe and Ruth (Max) Christiansen, step-sisters, Shirley Christianson, Pam Perrella, and Beth Litchfield; step-brother, Bobby Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
