Hilda Frances (Orwig) Misner

Hilda Frances Misner, age 93, of Ionia, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. She was born April 28, 1925, the daughter of Harold and Mabel (Hass) Orwig. She was a member of Shiloh Community Church and was involved with the Ionia Commission on Aging, where she attended music performances on Thursday's and donated to their various fundraisers and activies. Hilda loved her garden and flowers, she often bought flowers each time she went grocery shopping. She cherished her family, dogs, and parrot and she enjoyed spending time with them. 

Preceding Hilda in death are her parents; husband of 50 years, Donald; brothers, Otto and Walter; and daughter, Janet Loveless. She is survived by her sons, Russ (Terri "Sue") Misner and John (Carol) Misner; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and special friend, Violet Tompkins. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Harger at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Shiloh Community Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
