Jean Ellen (Noren) O'Bannon

Jean Ellen O’Bannon, of Portland, age 87, passed away Sunday, October 7. 2018. She was born March 19, 1931, the daughter of Henry and Clarabel (Fenby) Noren. Jean was an avid supporter of animals and nature conservatories.

Preceding Jean in death are her parents; husband, Leonard R. O’Bannon in 1992; sister, Alice Hoppes; brother, Carl Noren; and her dog, Mandy. Jean is survived by her daughters, Candace (Larry) Farmer and Rebecca Troub; grandchildren, Stephanie Lee, Courtney (Pete) Russman, Matthew (Jeremy) Bebermeyer, Andrea Troub, Kari Troub, Michael Troub, Emily (Bryan) Williams, and Caitlin (Dustin) Earley; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Jill Smith; and her dog, Daisy.

The Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor John Schleicher at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lansing. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society or Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in honor of Jean. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
