Marry (Wilder) Salyers

On Monday December 30, 2019, Marry Wilder Salyers, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 79. Marry was born in Lee County, KY on September 16, 1940 to Sterling and Elizabeth (King) Wilder.

She had 2 Siblings, 8 Children, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Marry was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile and giggle, along with her feisty spirit. She loved telling stories of her childhood adventures as a young carefree spirit and big dreams. She enjoyed movies (especially Thrillers), crossword puzzles, and watching woodland animals. She was a lover of the Foothill Mountains where she ran free. She had a very special skill of gardening with the ability to make plants blossom.

Marry was preceded by death by her father, Sterling Wilder, mother, Elizabeth Wilder (King), late husbands, James Roberts and Jack Burden, brothers, JR and Woodrow Wilder, sisters, Betty and Dee, beloved children, Joey Burden and Crystal Roberts (Don Beach), grandson, Brent Rimer, great-granddaughter, Mary Ann Rimer. Marry is survived by her husband, Tony Salyers, sister, Ruth Ferris of Napoleon, MI, brother, Charles, children, Elizabeth Richie of KY, Lula Corwin of MI, Ernestine Burden of UT, Jamie Burden of IN, Jewell Roberts (Scott Miller) of Westphalia, Angel Roberts (Joel Gonzalez) of Jackson, MI, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Ceremony will be held in the spring at the Dewitt Charter Township Community Center, 16101 Brook Road, Lansing, MI 48906, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. All Flowers or donations may be sent to Jewell Miller, 104 North Heyer Street, Westphalia, MI 48894.
