Mary Margaret Martin

Mary Margaret Martin, age 92, of Portland, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was born on October 25, 1926 the daughter of Louis and Clara Rademacher. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a Past President and Chaplain of the V.F.W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Reynold; a grandson, Lee Martin; and brother’s Edward, Charles, and Norbert Rademacher. Surviving are her children, Kathleen (Kurt) Pitch, Arlene (Carl) Randall, Terry (Dawn Hinds) Martin, Jerry (Sharon) Martin, Daniel Martin, Kenneth (Laurie) Martin, Mary Ann (George) Hilton, and David Martin; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Rademacher, Leo (Janet) Redemacher, Matthew (Jean) Rademacher; sisters, Clarita (Bob) Fedewa and Janice (Mike) Fox; sisters-in-law, Sue Rademacher, Clare Rademacher, and Janet Rademacher. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. The rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday. The family would like to thank Portland Assisted Living and Memory Care for their compassionate and loving care given to their mother.
