Robert Walsh Obituary

Robert J. Walsh, age 94, of Ionia, passed away August 4, 2018. He was born February 1, 1924, the son of Thomas and Violet (Coates) Walsh.

Robert is survived by daughters, Tami Banko and Tina Cortright; grandchildren, Tesha Bowerman, Trinity Davis, Kenneth Cortright, Amanda Cortright, and Tracie Callaway (Tony); great-grandchildren, Chloe, Zoe, Seth, Xander, Roger, Lily, Heaven, Ariana, Kail, and Kelsee.

He is predeceased in death by wife, Evelyn and daughters, Teri Matthews and Tonia Corrice.

Robert was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1942-1945 and was in the battle of Normandy. He was also a member of the VFW.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
