Rose Marie (Petersen) Lenardson

Rose Marie (Petersen) Lenardson, age 82, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018. She was born and raised in Palo, the daughter of Harvey A. and Leona E. (McClow) Gibson. Rose loved square dancing, playing cards, and was a 4-H leader. She was a city girl, but lived on the farm for many years. She worked for Security Bank and retired from Mutual of Omaha. Rose was a kind, generous, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Preceding Rose in death are her parents; husbands, Earl Arden Petersen and Wayne Lenardson; step-daughter, Diane; step-son, Terry; step-grandson, Ryan. She is survived by children, Kimberly S. Petersen, Lynn M. (Dale) MacArthur; Darrell A. (Saudia) Petersen; and Tracie S. (Timothy) Haney; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 4 step-children; and 12 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; special niece, Alicia and her family.

The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Nancy Patera on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Interment will follow at Easton Cemetery.
