Age 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born on March 10, 1926, the son of Benjamin and Jessie Cox. Ross was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed woodworking, farming, and tending his garden and yard. He worked for the Ionia Co. Road Commission for many years retiring in 1989. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loraine; brothers, Gerald and Stewart; and sisters, Doris Garra and Elna Sprague. Surviving are his children, Ross Cox, Jr. (Cindy Salas), Warren Wrisley, and Jean James; granddaughter, Beth (Fred) Moore and grandson, Eric Salas; great-grandchildren, Jason Schwab, Melany (Cody Redman) Schwab; great-great-grandsons, Zander Redman and Eric Adrien Salas; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Tuttle Cemetery with Pastor Kenneth Harger, presiding. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. David Huhn Post.
