Royal Ann Griffiths

Royal Ann Griffiths, age 49, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 with her family by her side.  She was born on December 11, 1969 in Lansing and was raised by her parents, Ray and Diane (Baker) Byrd, Sr.  She was a stay at home mom and worked as a part time waitress. Royal was always able to light up a room and turn sadness into happiness by her smile. She loved her Pepsi fountain pop, arts/crafts, cooking, bingo, mowing lawn and laying in the sun. She liked an occasional trip to the casino and was always considered lucky on the penny machines. Her family and friends were most important to her, especially spending every day with her grandson. She is preceded by her father, Roy, Sr.; Surviving are her mother, Diane; children, Garth Alan Pratt of Dallas, TX, Anthony Adam Griffiths of Sheridan, Ashely Ann Griffiths of Portland and Alexus "Lexi" Alice Griffiths of Pewamo; grandson, Austin Anthony Stalter;  sister, Stacy L. Schultz of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and a brother, Roy E. Bird, Jr.; long time boyfriend, Lynn Sandborn and several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a half brother. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland, with Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson  officiating. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A full obituary will be posted soon.
