Terry Lee Wieber

Terry Lee Wieber, age 65, of Westphalia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  He was born on August 24, 1954 to Leon and Geraldine (Braun) Wieber. Terry is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Westphalia, Michigan. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with family and friends, especially in the fall.  Terry spent time trap shooting and was a member of the Oak Hill Gun Club.  He and his friends enjoyed playing Thursday-night foosball.  His favorite season was summer, and he enjoyed fireworks and campfires with his neighbors.  Terry was known to organize an amazing firework party each 4th of July. He was considered a master griller by many and is famous for his smoked, pulled pork.  In his younger years, he played lead guitar in two bands, Rising Time and High Life and continued to play throughout his life.  His love for guitar and music has been passed along to his grandchildren.  He loved spending time with his 15 grandchildren and would often re-tell funny stories of something they said or did. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. Terry had a way of using that humor to get through hard times.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bruce and Jeff.  Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Janice (Thelen), children, TeAnn (Ted) Smith, Renell (Craig) Goerge and Abby (Mitchell) Feldpausch; 7 grandsons, Simon, Brandon, Gracen, Esten, Dominic, Xavier and Edison; 8 granddaughters Georgia, Noelle, Ilah, Nora, Trista, Zaylie, Lucia and Marian; siblings Diane (Bruce) Beachnau, John (Vicki) Wieber and Paul “Tom” (Colleen) Wieber; in-laws, Julie (Dean) Schafer, Kenn (Betsy), Ronn (Beth), Jim (Sue) and Gene (Sherry) Thelen; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Eric Weber at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  The family will receive friends Monday 5:00-8:00 pm and Tuesday 2:00-8:00 pm.  Rosaries will be prayed at the start of each visitation.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Lehman Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
