Troy Eugene Placer, age 53, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019. He was born September 20, 1965 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Robert and Karen Placer. Troy brought light and life anywhere he went, he was always quick to make friends and provide a laugh and good conversation. He attended Lansing Everett High School graduating in 1991. The Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers were among Troy's favorite sports teams. He was an avid fan of WWE Wrestling, being sure to catch as many matches as he could on television. Troy was very active in the Special Olympics and Boy Scouts. He loved to sing and dance, especially to his favorite band, KISS. Troy was beloved by many and will be especially missed by his family and friends.
Preceding Troy in death are his grandparents. He is survived by his parents, Bob and Karen; brother, Todd (Deb) Placer; sister, Nikole (Ron) Reisbig; nieces, Justene (Danielle Brodberg) Placer and Elaina Haring; and nephews, Zakary Placer, Skilar Placer, Cole Haring, Zane Reisbig, and Ryan Reisbig.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clarksville Township Hall, 311 S. Main Street, Clarksville on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 1-4 p.m. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
