Zac Francis

Zac Francis, age 46, of Portland, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. He was born October 13, 1971, the son of Lee and Sally (Sines) Francis. Zac was the ultimate outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also loved good music and his dogs, Maebh “Mayv” and Bayne, who was a regular tag-along on Zac’s hiking adventures. He was a loyal manager of Bader’s in Grand Ledge for 22 years and of Lich Farm Service in Portland. Zac married his beloved wife, Jody on October 7, 1995.

Preceding Zac in death are his grandparents, Bill and Doris Sines and Elmer and Elsie Francis; uncles, Richard Sines and William Sines; and aunt, LaVonne Sines. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jody (Blundy) Francis; parents, Lee and Sally Francis; brother, Luke (Cassie) Francis and their children, Zoe and Liv; sister, Linda (Ron) Mann and their children, David (Jennie) and Rachel Mann; sister, Shelley (Tim) Perry and their children, Sarah, Erin (Tim), Emily, Kayla (Lee), and Ben (Renee); father-in-law, Gary Blundy (special friend, Barb Marsh); and mother-in-law, Sue (Bob) Hirschman.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson presiding. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Lehman Funeral Home.
