Adam Lee Thelen age 34 of Lake Odessa passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, on the shores of Lake Michigan with his dog, Mayhem by his side and guitar in hand. Adam first and foremost was a devoted father, son, brother and friend to all.
Born on August 6, 1989, and raised in Lake Odessa community, he was a 2008 graduate of Lakewood High School. He had recently returned to Lake Odessa after a temporary departure to reestablish himself and create a stable home environment for his three children. He could be described as having a charming personality and a hard worker being employed by Franklin Metals of Lake Odessa. He was a talented self-taught musician with the ability to conjure a song from any string instrument at a moment’s notice. He enjoyed yardwork and growing sunflowers and dahlias specifically. He had a larger-than-life smile and a sense of humor to match. He valued kindness towards others and physical activity. He was a founding member of TrainWreck Fight Alliance serving as a role model for younger member competitors.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gay Thelen and his grandmother Joy Blakely both from Lake Odessa. He is survived by his children, Bradley - 9 years, Gracelyn and Lennon - 7 years, sister, Katie (Jason) Shong of Lake Odessa and brother, Ted (Ashley) Blakely of Clarksville. Several nieces and nephews Gavan, Gabriella, and Elizabeth being a few that were very close to their Uncle Adam.
Honorary Pallbearers are Matthew Risk, Branden Fisk, Bryan Tryon, Dominic Miller and Austen Darling.
