PEWAMO - Alvin N. ‘Newman’ Olney, 78, passed on January 10, 2023 in Perry FL. Born January 3,1945 in St. Johns to George and Virginia (Earl) Olney.

A devoted Brother, Uncle, (Catholic) Godfather, and friend. Known for his big smile and his lifelong work in scrap metal salvage.

Alvin was very proud when he returned to high school and graduated in 1997.

Survived by his siblings: Peggy Cilwa of Reed City, Patty Spence of Mount Pleasant, Joe (Kathy) Olney of Weidman, and Vickie (Pete) Smith of Perry, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eva Norton and Rose Green.
