Anne Elizabeth Zimmer (Marvin)

Anne Zimmer, 67, of Portland passed away surrounded by her family on August 13, 2024. Anne was born on February 5, 1957. She is the daughter of Samuel and Rose (Belen) Marvin. She worked most of her life as the office manager at 119 Bridge Dental Care, where she came to know many faces around town. 

Anne loved flowers of all kinds, trips to Lake Michigan, traveling around the state, especially if she could find a good garage sale, watching sunsets, scrapbooking with friends, spending time with her husband, especially date nights to the movies, doting about her two boys, and maybe, most of all her four grandchildren. 

Anne is preceded in death by her daughter, Ashleigh Zimmer, her parents, Samuel and Rose Marvin, her in-laws, Earl Zimmer and Murial Zimmer, her brother, Stephen Marvin, sister in-law, Teresa Marvin, and brother in-law, Dennis Fox. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Zimmer; children, Adam (Sara) Zimmer and Aaron (Casey) Zimmer, her siblings, Elaine (Lee) Riley, Mary Ellen Marvin, Jane (Ron) Conley, Patrick Marvin, Eric (Michael) Marvin, sisters-in-law, Brenda Fox and Rhonda Marvin, and brother in-law, Brent Zimmer, her grandchildren, Crue, Lennox, William and Oakleigh Zimmer; several nieces and nephews; and several special friends she has made over the years.

There will be a Christian Funeral Service celebrated by Pastor Lenora Whitecotton at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at the Portland United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
