Beth Ann Ruczynski, age 60, of Lansing, MI, formerly of Holly and Rochester Hills, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026.

Beloved mother of Kevin Tatro, dear mother-in-law of Yalda Tatro, and cherished sister of Beverlee Ruczynski. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, P. Michael and Ruby Ruczynski; her sister, Brenda Stanley (Ruczynski); and her treasured cat, Kirby.

Beth was a devoted mother, friend, neighbor, and coworker who took great pride in her family, home, work, and friendships. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide her son with a happy, experience-rich childhood and a strong foundation for the future. She was deeply grateful to have spent her final months with her son lovingly by her side.

Strong, hardworking, and independent, Beth found joy in many hobbies and interests. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, a collector of bird figurines, and a lover of horror films, British mystery shows, and nature. She also collected bookmarks and always looked forward to the bookmarks her son and daughter-in-law brought back for her from their travels.

Beth valued spending time with her close friends, Cindy and Marcia. She enjoyed their meaningful conversations, floating on Lake Huron, and trying new artistic pursuits together including crocheting, glassblowing, and scrapbooking.

A lifelong animal lover, Beth cared for several pets over the years and delighted in every opportunity to interact with animals, from petting goats at the farmers market to watching dogs compete in local events.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beth’s memory to Constellation Cat Cafe in Lansing, Adopt-a-Pet in Fenton, and Stoneleigh Residence & Hospice of Lansing.

Private interment will take place at Van Hoosen Jones Stoney Creek Cemetery in Rochester Hills, MI.
