Betty Arlene Standley, age 95, went to sing in the choirs of Heaven on December 21, 2021. She was born on July 14, 1926 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Frank and Artie Pottorff. Betty had a beautiful voice; you could often find her singing in the church choir. After her retirement from Michigan State University, Betty became a Red Hatter for several years and she enjoyed crafting with her husband, Floyd.
Preceding Betty in death are her parents; husband, Floyd Standley; and son, Ronald Standley. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Gloria) Standley and Timothy (Norma) Standley; former daughter-in-law, Judy Standley; grandchildren, Patrick (Jennifer) Standley, Michael Standley, Andrew (Stephanie) Standley, Michelle (Brad) Wallace, Holly (Carlos) Charity, Jesse (Amanda) Standley, and Clint (Bianca) Standley; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
