Bishop Anthony Yeboah, age 62, of Lansing, Michigan passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Portland, Michigan. He was born on November 25, 1956 in Ghana, West Africa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Agossou Dognon; wife, Marilyn Yeboah; and brother, Justin Dognon.
Surviving him are his current wife, Cindy Yeboah of Prescott, Arizona; daughters, Josephine Osae of Accra, Ghana, Matilda Yeboah of Lansing; son, Francis Anane of Accra, Ghana; mother, Moyemi Dognon of Benin, West Africa; sisters: Mary Dognon of Benin, Veronique Dognon of Benin, Christine Dognon of Benin; brothers: Yao Dognon of Ghana, Mark Dognon of New York, Michel Dognon of Benin, and Dorothee Dognon of Benin.
Anthony was a school teacher and businessman in Ghana for many years. After a dramatic conversion to Christ, he devoted the remainder of his life to serving God and others in fulltime ministry. As a young man he worked for Reinhard Bonnke Ministries, helping to put on crusades throughout Africa. He was a 1991 graduate of Mount Hope Bible Training Institute in Lansing, Michigan. After graduation he founded Free International Missions. Through his leadership, Free International Missions saw over six million souls won to Christ, and a Bible School built in the Ivory Coast that graduated over 600 pastors who currently serve in over 50 countries around the world. Free International Missions also helped to plant over 300 churches, establish feeding programs, build orphanages, dig wells in remote villages, and provide ongoing training and encouragement for pastors in both Africa and the United States. Bishop Yeboah had become a pastor to pastors. The work of Free International Missions brought him in contact with several current and former African presidents. At the time of his passing, Free International Missions was building a children’s school in Nkwanta, Ghana. Bishop Yeboah also ministered extensively throughout Michigan and many parts of the United States.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Road, Lansing, Michigan. There will also be Memorial Services held in Accra, Ghana on November 17, 2019 and Abidjan, Ivory Coast on November 24, 2019.
