Brandon Joel Brown

Brandon Joel Brown, 28 years old, of Portland, Michigan passed away on June 18, 2022 peacefully after his long battle with cancer.

Brandon was born December 9, 1993 in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Portland High School in 2012. Brandon then proceeded to pursue his interest in Heating and Cooling where he started his career in HVAC. Brandon was known for being incredibly passionate about his work as an HVAC Technician. He excelled in the exacting nature this work required, with a bright future ahead of him.

Outside of his career, Brandon had a passion for motocross, which he was a member of Portland Trail Riders. His passion began as a child, as his father and grandfather had a passion for motocross. He then carried his passion of the motocross life onto his son Carson, which he was there to coach him on his first race. Other hobbies Brandon enjoyed included, hunting, fishing, boating, and whatever adventures life brought to him and his family.

Brandon Brown is survived by his fiancé, Gabrielle Winter and his two children, Carson and Colton Brown; his mother, Karen Brown (step-father, Jermey Ouderkirk); father, Joel Brown (step-mother, Dylana Tarry); grandparents, Joel/Nelda Brown (Paternal) and Jeannette/Lee West (Maternal); 3 uncles, Jason, John, and Dann; 1 Aunt, Amy. Brandon was part of the large and loving Brown family and has many cousins, as well as extended family, friends, mentors, and coworkers he touched during his short life, who loved him dearly and helped him become the person he was. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marty Grill.

The Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Beckett at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will follow at Danby Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes.
