Bruce Rowe Obituary

Bruce Wayne Rowe, age 75, passed away December 18, 2020 surrounded by his family after a very lengthy illness. He was born September 20, 1945 in Portland at a maternity home when the noon whistle was blowing. He was a graduate of Portland High School Class of 1963. Bruce served in the United States Marine Corp. from July 19, 1963 to December 02, 1969. Preceded in death by Lewis and Dorothy Rowe his parents, brothers Bill, Jack and Terry Rowe. Bruce was the beloved husband of Diane for 56 years, father of Eric (Denise) Rowe, Keeley (Rick) Burgess. Grandchildren Tyler Rowe, Paige (Will) Hicks and Morgan Haynie. Great-grandchildren Paityn, Ezra and baby Hicks due in February and Aurora Haynie. Sister Pat Essner and several nieces and nephews. Bruce enjoyed spending summers up at Dickerson Lake, boating, swimming and skiing with his many friends. Dad loved working in the yard & garage any time his health allowed him to. Dad was always chasing the geese back to the yidder as he called it when he was a kid. Bruce & brother Terry liked to sneak out of the house, push their parent’s car from the driveway on East St. to Grand River so their parents would not hear them starting the car and they would be gone all night and back in bed in the morning in time to get up as if nothing ever took place. Bruce/Dad will be sadly and dearly missed. So until we see you again Bruce/Dad. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
