Carol Lynn (Gharst) Rossell

Carol Lynn Rossell, of Ionia, passed away on September 23, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born in St. Johns, the daughter of Woodrow C. and Lillian M. (Reed) Gharst on October 12, 1946. Carol lived a simple, yet beautiful life, she was a friend to many and kind to all. Carol worked as a cashier at Fred’s Food Center in Ionia where she met so many wonderful people over the years. She enjoyed roller skating, doing crossword puzzles, going out to eat, and staying in touch with others on Facebook. On March 1, 1961, she married the love of her life, Jack L. Rossell, Sr. and they shared 64 years of marriage together. Carol will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Preceding Carol in death are her parents; sister, Joann Mertlinger; and brother-in-law, John Rossell. Surviving are her husband, Jack Rossell, Sr.; sons, Jack Rossell, Jr. and Timothy Rossell; grandchildren, Derek (Alana) Rossell, Larissa Rossell, Amber Rossell, and Adam Rossell; great-grandchildren, Malia and Jameson; and sister, Darlene (Dean) Sloan.
