Daniel Smith Obituary

Daniel F. Smith, age 78, of Pewamo, loving son, brother, and uncle passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 28, 1943 the son of Albert and MaryAnn Smith. He was a member of the last graduating class on Pewamo High School in 1961. Dan was a talented lifelong brick layer. He enjoyed farming and attending his great niece and nephews sporting events. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steve. Surviving are his siblings, Larry (Mary) Smith, Karen (Michael) Pung, and Michael Smith; nephews and nieces: Terry (Michelle) Smith, Todd (Chris) Smith, Andrew (Wendy) Smith, Nicole (Stu) Willard, Michelle (Brian) Barker, Thomas (Lori) Pung, John (Katie) Pung, Brian Pung, Andrea (Sean) Ferguson, Jackie (Nick) Hinz and Luke Smith and several great nephews and nieces, and two great-great nieces and a great-great nephew as well as special neighbors, Steve and Joan Esch. There will be a private memorial service to be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Green Acres in Ionia for the love and patience they showed in caring for Dan.
