David Alan Smith

David Alan Smith, a resident of Eaton Rapids, died on February 12, 2026, at the age of 71. He was one of six children born to Stanley and Betty (Cody) Smith.

David spent much of his career installing siding and windows, but woodworking was his true passion. He enjoyed crafting various small items such as whirligigs, salt and pepper holders, napkin holders, and band saw boxes.

David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Penny (Halsey) Smith, his son, Adam (Treasa), and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Sage, and Haley.
