David Sylvester Feldpausch, age 82, of Fowler, passed away at home surrounded by his family on December 25, 2021. He was born on November 6, 1939, the son of Harold and Agnes (Simon) Feldpausch and he grew up on his family’s farm. He continued his farming venture, owning and operating the Feldpausch family farm with his brother, John. David had a quick-witted sense of humor and enjoyed spending time outside. He loved the annual family trip to Hartwick Pines and Mackinac Island, something he looked forward to every year. Most of all, he loved his family and spent his entire life making sure they were well taken care of.
Preceding David in death are his parents; brother-in-law, Paul Heinrich; Martin in-laws, Julie Martin, Therese Trierweiler, Clem Thelen, Maynard Wirth, Denny Harr, and Wayne Berger. Surviving are his beloved wife, Rita Feldpausch; daughters, Julie (Mitch) Bierstetel and Jane (Brian) Schulze; grandchildren, Ty, Karly, August, Justin, and Megan; siblings, Alice Heinrich, Mark (Leslie) Feldpausch, Joe (Elizabeth Gold) Feldpausch, John (Monica) Feldpausch, Pete (Margene) Feldpausch, Bill (Kathy) Feldpausch, and Ruth (Raghuvir) Talwalker; and Martin in-laws, Josephine Thelen, MaryAnn Wirth, Imelda Berger, Celine Harr, Luke Martin, Tony (Pat) Martin, Francis (Marlene) Martin, Bernadette (Jim) Fox, Paul (Pam) Martin, and Leland Trierweiler; and several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Peter Lawrence at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia.
