David Arthur Husted, of Ionia, passed away on June 2, 2026 at the age of 79. Born on February 10, 1947 in Ionia, the son of Forest and Ethel (VanCamp) Husted. Dave was a lifelong mechanic, he could fix anything that was broken. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, racing, and watching sports. Above all, Dave loved his family and will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Preceding Dave in death are his parents; sister, Barb (Jack) Stob; brother, John Husted; son-in-law, Dennis Meeuwsen; and stepdaughter, Kim Mailand. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Shirley (Renucci) Husted; children, Candace (Joey) Shattuck, Michael (Tammy) Husted, Jarrod Husted; stepson, Kip Emelander; son-in-law, Scott Mailand; grandchildren, Shelby Meeuwsen (Jack Lilly), Dennis Husted, Gracie Jo Husted, Shannon Raine, Preston Mailand, and Stevie (Bryan) Avey; great-grandchildren, Owen, Eli, Noah, Alissa, Gabby, Journey, Landon, Owen, Noah, River, and Gabriel.
