David Azpeitia Ponce

September 6, 1936 - April 26, 2023

David was born in San Diego, California and was called home into eternal life from his home in Murphy, Texas. He was 86 years old. He has departed from this world but dwells in our hearts, minds, and souls and we will reunite with him someday in our heavenly home. David had a laugh and a smile that were truly infectious. The light of the Lord shined though him in every way. He has instilled the love of Jesus in all his friends, family and loved one’s. It is because of that many of them serve the Lord today. David is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Gloria Ponce. He is survived by his four children: daughter, Angela Ponce-(Craig) McAlexander, (grandson Donny Paysinger), daughter, Mary (Mark) Tatkeiwicz, (granddaughter, Chasity Garcia, grandsons, Vincent, Michael, Benjamin and Joel), son, David Ponce Jr., son, Jonathan (Regina) Ponce, John “Jack” Warner, Cathy (Mike) Morgan, and Shawn Warner; and many wonderful and precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. David’s surviving siblings are his sister, Helen Ponce Lahmann, brother, Ernest Ponce, and sister, Elizabeth Ponce-Hanks.
