Dorothy Harder Obituary

Age 84, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 5:20 a.m. from heart complications. She had been very ill for the past two months. She was born on June 6, 1920 the daughter of Howard and Mabel (Snyder) Reynolds. Mrs. Harder was a homemaker as well as a member of the LeValley United Methodist Church in Ionia. Dorothy also took pride in assisting her husband and children on the family farm. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harrison on October 7, 1990; 2 brothers, Charles and Raymond Reynolds. Surviving are 2 daughters, Rosemary Harder of Portland and Alice (David) Dexter of Lake George; 3 sons, Howard (Dorothy) Harder, Fred Harder and Lawrence (Betty) Harder, all of Portland; 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Don Reynolds, Duane (Bernita) Reynolds and Keith (Emma) Reynolds; sister, Ethel (Bob) Ryan; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Mark Johnson, Pastor of LeValley United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 7, 2004 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland. Interment will follow at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday.
