On July 9, 2024, heaven welcomed home an angel as Frances Marion Schnepp, of Lansing passed away peacefully at the age of 83. She was born in Owosso on February 4, 1941, the second of ten children of Earl and Charlotte (Malloy) Delaney. Frances graduated from Resurrection High School in 1959. A devoted parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lansing, Frances found solace and strength in her faith. She served her church and community with a generous heart. Frances dedicated over two decades of service to the Michigan State University Office of Medical Education, retiring after a fulfilling career where she made lasting contributions and touched the lives of many colleagues and students along the way. Frances was an accomplished seamstress, crafting and mending countless garments over the years.
Family meant everything to Frances, especially her four sons, whom she cherished above all else. She instilled in them values of resilience, integrity, and compassion that they still carry with them today. Though Frances was small in stature, she made a large impact on all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Preceding Frances in death are her parents, Earl and Charlotte Delaney; siblings, Larry Delaney, Chuck (Harriet) Delaney, Phyllis (Tom) Rodebaugh, and Mary Ellen Delaney, sister-in-law, Margaret Delaney; niece, Leah Rodebaugh; nephew, Joseph Delaney; and special friend, Charles Hake. Surviving Frances are her sons, Mark (Jamie) Schnepp, Mike Schnepp, Marty (Leanne) Schnepp, and Matt (Jamie) Schnepp; grandchildren, Shane (Jenna), Trevor (Jessie), Sam, Ayla, and Addie Schnepp; siblings, Don Delaney, Cheryl (Mac) Williams, Doug (Linda) Delaney, Dennis (Patti) Delaney, and Suzanne Price; and her beloved dog, Jack.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Red Cedar Lodge and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care they took of Frances.
