Gabrielle Lillian Knoespel, of East Lansing, passed away on June 3, 2026 at the age of 26. She was born on November 19, 1999 to Deirdre Heckman. She grew up living with her mother and her grandparents, Sheldon and Karen Knoespel. Gabby began her schooling at Eastminister Child Development Center in East Lansing where she attended pre-school. She then went on to attend Holt Public Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 2018. While in school she attended Karyn’s Dance Place and was active in the Holt High School vocal and band music programs. Gabby won several medals in the district and regional competitions. Gabby went on to work at several cashier and management positions. In 2021, she met the love of her life, Rhett Blemaster. They were married for nearly three years before his tragic passing in November 2025. Aside from Gabby’s family and friends, the other loves of her life were her two Australian Shepard-Lab mix dogs, Captain and Princess, who were her loyal companions.

Gabby had a tremendous faith in her Lord and Savior. She faithfully attended church wherever her grandmother played the organ. Gabby first attended Faith Lutheran Church in Okemos, then All Saints Lutheran Church in Mason, and most recently, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church – Christ Campus in Lansing.

She was blessed to have the support and encouragement of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We know that she is now with the Lord, but she leaves behind a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
