Gayle A. Bigford

Gayle A. Bigford, age 74, of Lyons, passed away surrounded by his family on February 19, 2021. He was born in Portland, the son of William and Crystal (Beebe) Bigford on June 7, 1946. Gayle proudly served his country in the US Army and was a Commander at the VFW Post 4646 in Lyons. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending auction sales. He was employed at Motor Wheel for 26 years and also at ETM for 15 years. The most important thing to Gayle was his family, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Preceding Gayle in death are his parents; sisters, Phyllis, Fay, Donna, Lillian, and Katherine; and brothers, Guy, Ernest, and Rex. Surviving are his daughters, Rachel (Terry) VanSiclen and Tina (Gene) O’Donnell; grandchildren, Buck Allen Bigford, Kevin (Amanda) Reed, Jeremy (Rachell) Bigford, Dalton (Aleaha) VanSiclen, Brandon (Rose) VanSiclen, and Sabrina (Tyler) Schafer; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill and Cindy; special friend, Rayne Showers; and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Bigford.

The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Marilyn V. Danielson at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. Interment will follow at Danby Township Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Portland VFW Post 4090. The family will receive friends on Monday evening at the funeral chapel from 6-8 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
