George Anthony (Tony) Shindorf

George A. Shindorf, age 75, of Ionia, passed away peacefully January 7, 2024 after a long fought battle of cancer.

He loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking and had all his crafts out on Cleveland Street. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy of 57 years; his daughter, Kimberley Shindorf Dysard of Manistee, Michigan; a son, Brian (Tracie) Shindorf of Ionia, Michigan; grandchildren: Dawson (Taryn) Shindorf, Kaleigh Dysard, Bryce Dysard, Ashley Switzer, Ellie Dinehart, and Rylie Dinehart; 3 great-grandchildren, Willow, Scotlyn, and Axell; one brother, Gerald (Rose) Shindorf of Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Krueger and Kym Coryell; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Catherine Shindorf; two brothers, Robert (Bob) Shindorf and Phillip (Bill) Shindorf.
