George Leo Smith

George Leo Smith, age 82, of Portland, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2020. George was born on May 23, 1937 in Portland, the son of Julius and Julia (Feldpausch) Smith. George greatly enjoyed his time working at Cook Brothers in Portland and also at the Ionia County Road Commission for many years. Preceding George in death are his parents and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by four sisters and one brother; many nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; the Cook Family; and his best friend, Dr. Busch. Private family services will be held.
