Gerald Lee Peabody

Gerald Lee Peabody, age 93, of Portland passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He was born on September 28, 1930 in Portland the son of Clarence and Bessie (Smith) Peabody. Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He retired after 32 years from T.R.W. in Portland and was the oldest living member of the Portland United Methodist Church. He enjoyed collecting maple syrup and honey with dad at an early age and spent many winters in Dunedin, Florida with his wife of 62 years, Bonnie. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie; sister, Marion Pieczewski; brothers, Lawrence (Jeannie) Peabody and Robert (Janet) Peabody. Surviving are his children, Rhonda (Jim) Townsend, Karen Collins and Brian Peabody; grandchildren Amber (Brandon) Koenigsknecht and their four children, Becky Sriver, Ryan (Jon) Townsend, Theresa Townsend, Andrew Townsend and his child, Noah Townsend, Shelli (Craig) Ludwick and their three children and Joshua Collins.
