Hugh L. Wolfington, Jr.

Hugh L. Wolfington Jr., of Ionia, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the age of 49.  He was born in Orlando, Florida on August 1, 1974, the son of Hugh Sr. and Marsha (Brownell) Wolfington.  Hugh enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to watch baseball.  He was known to be very giving and he loved to make people laugh. 

Preceding Hugh in death are his grandparents, his dad, Hugh Sr.; daughter, Autumn and several aunts and uncles.

Hugh is survived by his son, Zach (Tyra) Wolfington; daughter, Nicole Wolfington (Jacob Leatherman); grandchildren, Zachary Wolfington Jr., Zane Wolfington, Carson Wolfington, Athena Leatherman, Ezra-Lee Leatherman, with one grandchild on the way; his mother, Marsha Wolfington; sister, Dorie Monda; brother, Josh Wolfington; niece, Gabby Wolfington; nephew, Dakota Monda; special friend, Sheila Dingle-Whitley; and many good friends and family.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 143 East David Highway, Ionia, from 11-1 p.m. with a service at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow in the hall. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
