James “Jim” L. Hillabrandt
February 13, 1943- November 12, 2025

Age 82, passed away on November 12, 2025. He was born on February 13, 1943 in St. Johns, MI the son of Kenneth and Leona (Schneider) Hillabrandt. Jim served in the United States Air Force for 32 years and retired at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He further served his community as a District Executive in the Boy Scouts for America for 10 years. Jim was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed traveling especially to Gulf Shores, AL.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, his mother, Leona, his beloved wife of 44 years, Elizabeth (Bettie). He is survived by his children Suzanne Hillabrandt, Pamela Futrell and James (Melisa) Hillabrandt; grandchildren Brittni (Luke) Bowen, Aspen Trittschuh, A.J. Futrell, Isabell Hilabrandt, Elliana Hillabrandt; great grandchild Theadora James Bowen; sibling John (Carol) Hillabrandt; brother in law Lance Jepson, Donald (Bonnie) Miller and Thomas (Debbie) Miller; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Pete Schafer at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pewamo, MI. Rite of Committal will follow at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler. A viewing will occur prior to Mass from 10:00 to 11:50 on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer society in memory of Jim.
