Jane Elizabeth Kanter, 68, of Ionia, passed away on August 27, 2024. She was born November 25, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Ronald and Betty Larabel.
Jane had a strong work ethic, spending her entire career in the manufacturing industry. She met her spouse Alan in Grand Rapids when they both worked at Lescoa. She retired from Bradford White Corporation in Middleville after 22 years of service. Jane and Alan moved to Ionia in 2021, where they purchased a new home in a retirement community.
Jane worked hard to create a wonderful environment for her community and those around her. She was a talented crafter, designing unique handmade gifts for others. Jane loved to dance to any kind of music and especially enjoyed family parties and get-togethers. She had a great love for nature, gardening and her pets.
Jane is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Alan Kanter; son and daughter-in-law, Shain and Lynnea Brower of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Deanna Brower of Umatilla, Florida; six grandchildren; sisters, Mary Vroma, Cathy Kastin, and Sue Deason; brothers Ron Larabel and Tim Larabel and several nieces and nephews.
