Jason Robert Bishop Obituary
May 31, 1985 – June 9, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Robert Bishop, who left this world on June 9, 2026, at the age of 41.
Jason was born on May 31, 1985, in Lansing, MI and grew up in Portland, MI. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and friend whose life touched many people. Those who knew Jason will remember his big heart, sense of humor, and infectious laugh and smile.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amber Bishop, his cherished daughter, Addison Bishop, and his beloved son, Landyn Bishop, parents Robert and Lucinda, brother Stephen and his grandfather James Hallenback. As well as family members and close friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Hallenbeck, and his best friend, DP.
Above all Jason loved his family and friends. His children were the pride and joy of his life, and he treasured every moment he spent with them. The love he had for Addison, Landyn, and his wife, Amber, will continue to live through the memories they shared together.
Jason enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. The water is where he found peace and happiness. He had a love for golf and enjoyed playing a round with anyone who would go with him, especially when he played with his best friend, Jordan. He was also dedicated to fitness and could often be found at the gym, always pushing himself to be stronger and encouraging others to do the same. Jason also had a love for video games and loved playing them with Landyn. Whether on the water with a fishing rod in hand or on the greens for a round of golf, Jason approached life with determination and passion.
The loss of Jason leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him. Though his time here was far too short, his love, his laughter, and the memories he created will remain forever.
